Project Update
Work Advances at WWTP
CH2M HILL has been successfully operating the Wastewater Plant since late September. The DBO team is finishing the design for the WWTP improvements (currently at 95% complete), and transitioning its focus to the construction phase of the project. With construction beginning soon, we thought it best to inform you of some of the general issues regarding the commencement of construction activities, working hours and anticipated activities in and around the Old Town neighborhood.
Increased Activities in the Area – As the construction team begins to mobilize to the plant, setting-up offices and establishing construction protocol and site logistics, you will start to see an increase in vehicular traffic to and from the facility. This traffic will initially consist of mostly cars, however there will also be material deliveries by semi-tractor trailer rigs, similar to those that are currently hauling biosolids from the facility. All vendors and subcontractors have been and will be alerted to the need to be a good neighbor and to pay particular attention to the posted regulatory signs.
Construction Activities – It is anticipated that construction activities will begin in earnest in late February to early March 2012 and continue until late November 2013. There are several milestones and phased construction activities that will take place during this time and we will continue to keep you posted as we progress through the three phases of the construction activities.
Working Hours - The working hours for the project are anticipated to be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (with a potential of office staff arriving earlier/working later). Some Saturday work is anticipated. We will follow guidelines set forth by the City of Wilsonville and as required by other regulatory agencies.
