Wilsonville Wastewater Treatment Plant Project
Clean Water for Tomorrow

Project Updates

Community Town Hall meeting held May 25.

City leaders and staff held a Town Hall meeting May 25 that twenty people attended.  Mayor Tim Knapp and Councilor Scott Starr were in attendance.

Staff gave a brief presentation and fielded questions.  Attendees were supportive of the project and most asked questions.  Some emphasized the need for improving the wastewater plant, while others supported the cost effective DBO approach.  A number of participants were wastewater treatment plant neighbors and they informed staff that odor continues to be a problem.

Negotiations with the preferred bidder are anticipated to begin in May, with a contract ready for City Council action by July.  Assuming negotiations are successful, CH2M Hill will take over operation of Wilsonville’s wastewater plant in September.  Project design would begin immediately, with construction expected to finish in 2014.
